Behind the Scenes: Our Limited Edition Lario Bed Linen Collection

Posted by Larissa Cairns on

At The Linen Works, the inspiration behind each of our products derives from an adoration of unique European cultures, only found in the depths of rustic towns, stumbled upon by chance and brimming with hidden charm.

Be it the pared-back simplicity of a lifestyle unique to Provence sparking the creative force behind our Arles Range, or an eye-catching blue door to inspire a Parisian Blue hue, it is evident that as our experiences grow, so do our collections.

Here, we take you behind the scenes of the creative journey behind our new Limited Edition Bed Linen Collection, Lario.

This new Limited Edition Reversible Bed Linen collection draws on a charming dose of design inspiration from the fabric’s Italian cultural roots – in particular, Lake Como (Lago di Como) which is locally known as ‘Lario’.

Presenting a delicate ticking-style pattern for an understated take on a stripe, ‘Lario’ takes influences from breath-taking lake shores and idyllic cliffside scenes. Its muted tonal palette is as equally pleasing, with perfectly mixed shades of breezy, washed blues juxtaposed against off-white to create a simple, laid-back look from season-to-season. A reversible Linen Duvet Cover also provides lasting style possibilities, with each side slightly varying in colour for enhanced, enduring appeal for years to come.

Choose from two complimentary Linen Housewife Pillowcase options, a Linen Flat Sheet and dress with a choice of four decorative 45x45cm Linen Cushion Covers that lend themselves perfectly to layering and slow mornings spent idling.

Preparation for the perfect shot requires many props to be tried and tested.

Our furry friend for the day, Tilly the black lab, brought unfaltering love and happiness to the set.

A lot goes on behind the scenes of the images we finally use - here Ali Brown is styling whilst Larissa imparts her creative wisdom.

It is not unusual to have to choose between many shots that are only fractionally different.

Everyone has their creative input - Ben, our photographer, captures all of our products wonderfully.
