How Parisian Blue Came to Be

How Parisian Blue Came to Be

Posted by Larissa Cairns on

Whilst in Paris recently I stumbled across a beautiful ornate door, painted a deep, resonant blue. The perfect colour for our new bed linen. Linen has a matt quality which gives it the capacity to absorb light and carry off rich, deep colours. This became our Parisian Blue and now features across our range.  I'm always on the look out for unusual colours, you tend to stumble across them when you're least expecting it. The search goes on.

Farrow & Ball must have been thinking along the same lines, because shortly after, they released their 9 new colours which included Stiffkey Blue. Their inspiration came from the extraordinary colour of the mud found at Stiffkey beach in Norfolk. They put together this charming little film.  View
