Understanding the craft of linen is akin to understanding the day to day workings of the team here at The Linen Works. The process behind such a simple, yet valued material is one of hard work and persistence, and that same process is mimicked on every project we choose to undertake.

The beginning of spring calls for our annual seasonal photography shoot. And so, with the linens pressed and the table laid, we ambled through a carefully curated two-day programme to capture our beautiful linens behind the lens; photographing a mix of new and existing items from our timeless collection. From our soft, spring scarves to our sumptuous limited edition bed linen due to launch in coming months, the photoshoot was packed with creativity and inspiration - promising to be a productive few days for the whole team. Tasty treats which served equally well as food props and lunchtime delights kept the energy high, while a little companionship along the way from our fluffy friend, Tilly the black lab, kept us feeling content and smiling from the outset.

Having previously shot in the location, we were well accustomed to what it had to offer. White-washed walls with a mesmeric uneven stance, stripped floorboards and not forgetting exposed wooden beams that looked as though they had fallen into place years ago were all reminiscent of our slow living brand. Had the rain not quickly settled in, we could have been anywhere but London.

Here are some behind the scenes images to take you on the creative journey behind our imagery.

The simple pared-back aesthetic of the location worked as a perfect backdrop for the muted tones of our pure linens.

Preparation began in every room, including the master that was brimming with rustic charm.

The bathroom provided a lovely setting to shoot the soon-to-be new additions to our bath range.

We had the talented hands of Ali Brown styling our Easter dining scene.

Chairs: Lombok

Many different arrangements were tried and tested before we decided upon the winning shot.

 Tableware: David Mellor

Careful consideration is always taken, as the close up shots show every little detail of our linen.

 Tableware: The Conran Shop

Much deliberation occurs between every shot, here is Sarah, working her magic.

Curating the perfect dreamy scene is particularly exciting when it is a new product... A sneak peak!

Stealing the show, and all of our hearts (particularly Larissa's) was Tilly, our furry friend for the two days.

A special thanks to further contributors with beautiful product for the purpose of this shoot:
